Fossilised Polished Orthoceras Peardrop

A single polished Orthoceras from Morocco approx length 45mm.

The fossil shows a cross section of the Orthoceras which ia an extinct nautiloid cephalopod, a distant relative of the squid, octopus and cuttlefish 400 million years old.
