Narmada stones are sourced from the Narmada River in India and are only allowed to be harvested once a year, villagers then polish them smooth normally into the familiar Shiva Lingam egg shape, these are the lesser seen random shaped variety. They have been sacred to the Hindu culture for thousands of years. The stone is a crypto-crystalline form of Quartz, Iron generates the red markings and patterns, each one is unique.
